Balm seed

Lemon balm leaf contains 0.1 – 0.3 % essential oil, vitamins and bitter substances. The main ingredient of essential oil is citral. Lemon balm leaf is used in medicine as a tranquilizer, and essential oil in the cosmetic and chemical industries.

Lemon balm thrives on almost all types of soil, but still the most suitable are humus, moderately moist soils. However, it is sensitive to excess water in the soil and should not be planted in waterproof soils such as clayey.
